Speed sensors

There are two sensors on top of the bellhousing of my 1984 944, when i replaced the clutch one crumbled in my hand, i ordered a new one but now i need to know how they plug back in does anyone have any pictures? the back one goes to the harness - where ? and the one nearest the engine plugs into the harness where ? - unfortunately they are identical on the plugs HELP!!!

When looking at the front of the engine, they are right in the middle, behind the intake manifold. between it and the firewall. The connector for the O2 sensor is right there as well. They are one on top of the other.

Also check out clarks garage for the alignment of them, which is important.

If you plug them in one way and it doesn't start, then you have them backward. You have a 50/50 shot...do you feel lucky? It won't damage anything if you get them backward.
