85.5 dme in an 84 944
can anyone tell me whats involved in installing an 85.5 dme into an 84? not sure if i want it to be permanent. just want to test to see if thats my problem. if it is i want to upgrade. i was wondering if the connector is the same. Thanks Tim

Hi, I believe that you will need a different air flow meter in order for the later computer to work properly.

that is correct. the AFM has a different voltage. if you replace both, you are golden. PLUS, you can remove the chip and replace it with the 85.5 DME.
