Fuse Box

We have an 87 944 Turbo, have replaced the dme relay twice, now have it wedged next to the other relay to keep it functioning. How do we remove the fuse box to tighten or clean the contacts for the relays ? Thanks for any help. Bob

Disconnect the battery, then standing by the left side of the car look down into the fuse box, there is a thumb screw in the lower left and upper right corners. Remove these screws and carefully lift out the "plate" that holds the fuses/relays. you don't need to remove the whole fuse box, only the "plate" that holds the fuses/relays.

DME is located in the passenger footwell. Be sure there are no leaks from the battery tray into that area. Water and DMEs do not mix well.
