I was working on some of my wiring and saw this wire, I was gonna try and follow it back to see where it went and before i could it popped off whatever it was on. So if anyone knows what this is and where it goes it'll be a big help.

What was it near? It doesn't look stock...

Year and model might help.

it looks like a thermostat(like the one you have in a fridge) to switch AC on and off http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat5.gif

Connector for oil level sensor.

its a 87 944 n/a and it was on the same wiring harness as the oil pressure sender. All the wires on that last tail were melted.

Passenger side, just above or at the top of the oil pan towards the rear portion(engine) apprx 1/2 way up from pan bottom. Triangular shaped plate with screws and the port the connector insert into. Once you see it you will know it goes there because the shape is unique.

Low Oil Warning light Plug. 924Sman has it.. It just slips back on like a spark pluge wire.
