problem when wet?
 

just some history about my car. every time i wash my car, then start it again to dirve it while im driving the car it gets really sluggish and it lags it feels like the first time learning stick the car jerks . today i washed my car as usual and it started up just fine and i moved it off my driveway, after sitting there for 20 min, i wanted to move it back on the driveway so i start it up after 5 secodnds the car just dies. I try starting it and it just cranks but nothing happens. I let the car sit for a while thinking maby somthing got wet and it needs to just dry out because i always have problems washing my car. So i try again about 3 hours later and it just cranks.

any ideas of whats going on here?

also before this my car was just sitting there for about 2 weeks and the battery died i jumped it and drove around and the battery still holds a charge. Not to sure if that well help but thats the latest update. i even tried starting it with the jumper cables on still didnt start.

Pull one of the spark plugs and put the plug cable back on it and lay it on the intake manifold. While cranking, make sure you have a good spark. If you have spark, then check for fuel on the fuel rail by loosening the nut on the end...if you have pressure, then we'll try something else.

It actually sounds like your getting the distributor wet. Happens on lots of cars, not just these. I'm of the opinion to leave the car running while washing it instead of turning it off.

If you just let it sit a while does it start back up? I'm talking about an hour or so. If your in a winter area that could mean a day though.

check your passenger side carpet... if you've got a hole in your battery tray, it could leak into the cabin and onto your DME.

It is possible that your plug wires arced and burnt your rotor.

Spray your plug wires with WD40 which will get you started - then REPLACE them with ORIGINAL quality.
