Just as the title says, I have an 89 S2 that I am thinking of selling, and I was hoping to get some advice here.
Basics of the car are: Blue exterior, probably a 6 or so. Needs paint and minor bodywork. PO drilled a hole for an antenna and there is a dent by the lock for the hatch. I don't know how that got there, it was there when I bought it. Windshield needs replacement. Blue interior. Again, a six or so. No holes or rips in the seats, but the dash is probably the worst I have ever seen. Discoloration on the rear seat. About 155k on the car. I say about because the odometer broke, and when I fixed it, the thousands counter doesn't count up. Mechanically the car is sound. Belts and waterpump were done about 10k ago/ 3 years. but they should be done again just due to time to be safe. New afm about 2 years ago. Factory lsd transmission, clutch was done about 2.5 years ago. Koni yellows in the rear, new yellows for the front needing to be installed. And I have a bunch of parts to go with the car. Rebuildable head with valves and cams. Needs tensioner and chain. Bought it just in case I ever needed it. Saratoga top. Need rear mounts glued back on. New taillights. Got a deal I couldn't pass up. Set of turbo front shocks and springs, got that so I had something to set the car on when I was going to do the front struts. Spare set of door handles, script. Extra gauge cluster. New set of plug wires. Near perfect blue dash. Set of cup1 rims with centercaps. These are the five spokes that came on the late S2 and early 968 and some 911s. And more stuff I know I can't think of right now. It used to be a daily driver, but I just got tired of shifting in traffic all the time and figured I would use it on nice weekends. Well, I am finding I am way to busy to enjoy the car as it should. So back to the original question, what do you think it is worth? I don't have the space to part it, and parting a good running S2 just isn't right. I could strip it and use it for the track, which I have thought about doing, but again, no time. As an off note, one odd thing about the car, it has no rear wiper, and that hatch doesn't even have a hole for the wiper. Anyone else seen that before? Thanks for reading and your opinions! I can't help you on the value, but my '89 S2 also does not have a hole for the wiper.

Your car in "so-so" condition according to the Excellence Magazine Market Update is worth $7013.00. Good shape is estimated at $7974., and Excellent is est. at $10675. Good luck with the sale.

Not to stray off topic, but that latest price guide in Excellence sure was a bit eye opening, wasn't it? Between that and what I'm seeing locally, prices definitely are creeping up on these cars lately.
Good news if you're looking to unload your S2....

fyi 89 silver with sports seats recent belts etc 129 k miles 7 ext 8 interior purchased 2007 for 4000 $ 91 black black conv , 72 k miles all service 9 interior 9.5 ext purchased 2007 5500 $ both these cars bought and reg in va in las 7 months
