I have a 1987 944 with no A/C. Even with the A/C switched off the vents
continue to blow hot air even when I set the temp to the coolest position. Now that it is getting hotter in L.A. I am eager to get the A/C operational. Is my dash unit kaput or is there another problem with my climate control? If my dash unit is bad, anyone have a good one for sale? Thanks!! |

Trying to work for parts!

Check to make sure the heater clip isn't broke. Very common. Less then a $10 part and takes about 5 minutes to fix.
There is a write up on www.clarks-garage.com on how to do this.

It is normal for it to be a little warm...it's pulling air from under the hood. But as hpservertech said, there are some clips that very often break. Here is a web site I find a little better for replacing those clips.
