Turbo exhaust on an N/A?
I was wondering, would a cat back exhaust designed for 944 turbo bolt onto my '83 N/A? if not, what modifications would be required?
Thanks, Tony |

Nope, won't fit. Flanges are different sizes and 3 bolt (NA) vs 4 bolt (turbo).

You could always cut open the muffler on your N/A exhaust, gut it, weld in straight pipe, and weld the muffler back together for a stock look but straight through design. That is what I did with mine.

Cut the flanges off, and use an expanded slip joint.
I plan to try this on my '83 once my LR exhaust gets here.

I really like the sound of the ANSA sport exhaust for turbo, but they don't make it for N/A. Let me know how the fitment works on your 83 Jack.

I called Lindsey Racing yesterday, I won't see my new exhaust til after the 1st. So, it'll take a bit before I do this swap.
