I would say no because it's not running, just because the seller says it just needs a few things to be right as rain doesn't mean that's actually the case. If it really was close to being running the owner could finish it himself and up the selling price.

Yeah, that's what i was thinking. i've seen allot of those on craigslist. where it's some sort of an 'unfinished car" that could "easily be finished" but they don't want to deal with it so they drop the price allot, but it shows it must not be easily finished.

Yikes, does it come with free crack, or did the seller smoke it all?

If you do buy it make sure he gets the key first. I don't know that any old locksmith can make a key. Something about the factory blanks being made out of a harder metal.

IMHO the price is way high - in its current shape I would say 2k is more on target. Heck - running I would say the car is only worth 4ish.

If you want a $10,000.00 car buy it - that's what it would take to make it nice again - ask me how I know. I paid $1,000.00 for a 944 with a small hydraulic leak in the clutch system and wound up with a $10,000.00 car (receipts in hand) before all was said and done...For that kind of money you could have had a V8...ha ha.
