Lindsey ultra mounts VS traditional mounts

Well, my motor mounts are shot and I've been looking into replacing them. I was originally thinking of using the aftermarket OE-style mounts, but I've heard bad things about their long-term durability... After getting under the car and taking a good look at how hard these mounts are going to be to get out, I'm not too keen on having to replace them more than once. The cheapest I've found a pair of OE mounts for comes to just about $300... Lindsey's ultra mounts are only $50 more and are height adjustable too (not a huge deal for me, but it's a bonus for sure).

I'm wondering how they compare to OE mounts, particuarly in terms of vibration damping... I can live with a little bit, but my shot ones now are driving me mad. Would they use the stock bolts from an early '85, or do I need new bolts for the ultra mounts just like I would with the OE?

Hey, if you get them any time soon shoot me a PM or post up a quick write-up. I won't be able to do the job until school ends next month, and it looks like not too many people here have them.

I'll certainly do a write-up if and when I get them, if anyone else is interested.

I've used the Lindsey Ultra Mounts for about 2 years. Love them for track/mostly track car. Would not use for street car. They will increase vibration 10X. Your mirrors and Seats will vibrate with the engine. I'd buy the OEM's cause they have a better metal backing and will last longer than knock off's. The Passenger side mount fails first, do to heat from Exhaust manifold and leak from Power Steering Reserve.

I've heard you can pry up one side at a time so you don't have to remove toque tube. And disconnect everything. Check Clarks Garage.

I have had the ultra mounts(with the rubber) in for about a year. Very high quality. I have very little viberation. Mine came with bolts. Great guys at Lindsey. Really nice products. I think it was worth the extra cash.
