Crash Sensor and Airbag Light
My Alert light is on as is my airbag light. The code says my left crash sensor is bad. I've searched the threads and parts list but can't find a clean answer for:
1. Is what I described a real possibility? 2. Where are the crash sensors 3. I've looked on Pelican Parts but can't seem to find a part of this type in the catalog so how do I buy one? 4. How does it get replaced. Any help is appreciated. If you could email me at ralph.verrilli@vistagy.com I would appreciate it as I don't get to this forum often. Thanks for the help. - Ralph |
The sensors are located way up under the ends of the dash by the firewall. They look like this: Driver's side:

Note: The nuts mounting the sensors to the studs can be removed with a special socket. I got mine at Baum Tools, I believe.
