will a turbo head work in 944 not turbo
Hi wondering cross in ebay with this nice head ! seems has all goodies , port polish , race springs bigger valves, but is turbo head will that work in 944 not turbo 1985?

Actually your both wrong. The 951 head and n/a head are interchangeable. Same stud pattern (its the same exact block afterall) and the headers all fit exactly the same on the cylinder head side. The actual benefit of putting it on a non turbo is questionable though. I dont think ive ever seen any dyno sheets of worked cylinder heads on n/a cars. But its one of the most restrictive parts on the car. I always wondered what good headwork and a good cam would do for a n/a.
Some turbo builds use n/a heads because the exhaust ports can be ported. The 951 cylinder head is casted around the ceramic ports and is not possible to port them.

Ok so you are saying this turbo head has nor port job> he say lindsey racing do stage 2 job wich included porting polish? will be a good deal or not?

The value of a Turbo head with ceramic lined exhaust ports and heat resistant valves is way above that of a normal unit. (Price the valves.) There would be no advantage performance wise. Also check the machine specs on head thickness. Could wind up with low compression. Valve springs are cheap and even oversize stainless valves are far less than the original Turbo parts and could yield better breathing.
