Vacuum pressure issue at throttle body
I am tracing a vacuum pressure issue, well rather a stumble along the whole range, except full throttle. and i am wonderign about vacuum pressure across the board in an 84 944. i have 0 vacuum at one point on my throttle body and approx 15 at another,. i have checked both inlet and outlet, 0 vacuum across the board. here is some pics
![]() ![]() any ideas if that is right i dont think it is but i cannot find specs. |

What else have you checked???? Have you checked your ignition system? Have you checked the wiper inside the AFM???

I have replaced, Idle air control valve, have a new coil, injectors, MAF meter, Fuel Pump, fuel pressure regulator and inhibitor, Air filter, Throttle Position sensor, i also have a new ECM, New plugs and wires, cap and rotor, i took off the throttle body and cleaned it out, but that one vacuum line has no pressure at either end. which means that the parts in my second photo have NO vacuum at all. ill double check to see if somehow it got clogged. but i am really looking for is some spec to show me what i should have for vacuum pressure, and where it should be.

I am pretty sure the point where you are not getting vacuum is located before the throttle plate. So at idle its completley normal to not get any vacuum. You will only see it when the throttle is opened.
In your last picture, that is emission related stuff for the fuel vapor purge. The vacuum line on the left (connected to the diaphragm) connects to a thermo valve which is located under the intake manifold, on the cylinder heads rear coolant neck (which connects to the heater control valve). The other line on the right connects to the throttle body, im pretty sure it T's into something off it before hand though.
