Audi LSD in 944 trans?
I am a little new to the whole 944 scene and I am just beginning my research.
From what I have gathered the Audi 016 trans-axle and the trans-axle in the back of my 944 are very similar. Having been in the VW/Audi scene for a while I can tell you that a common mod for the Audi trans-axle is to install a torsen limited slip from the rear of the V8 quattro cars. There is some minor machine work that needs to be done but it works. So my question is, given that fact that these two transmission a very similar, does anyone know if the V8 quattro torsen diff will fit in the 944 trans-axle? These diffs can be had for a song and I can do the machine work myself and it certainly seems like a much cheaper alternative to get a limited slip diff in my 944. Does anyone have any input? |

I have no idea but if it worked there may be people in line to have it done.
