new member here. need help.

Okay My car is a 90 944 S2 Cab. It takes fits were it won't start. I thought that it was the DME relay so I got a new one, it did not help. I was desperate when It left me stranded at 11 at night so I removed the cover from the dme relay and held down the contacts, the fuel pump started to run and the car started right up. Okay so what I think is when I turn the key on and start cranking something isnt letting power go to the relay to let the pump run. But what? the ignition switch could be bad? I even unplugged the alarm module, what about the DME itself? The tach neddle does jump when I cut the key on so the ref sensors should be okay, right? The car has been doing this for sometime now but it has gotten way worse after I let it set for a couple of weeks. I have checked every single ground, every electrical connection, I'm at a loss now. PLEASE some one work a miracle!!

When you "unplugged the alarm module", did you jumper from Pin 1 to Pin 4 and from Pin 7 to Pin 8?

No I didn't? When the car did this for the first time I unplugged it and It started right up. I thought that was the problem, but it obviously is not. What terminals are you talking about jumping? on the harness that plugs into the module?

Here are the details on how to do this. It is much better than I could explain.
