cut out to idle or buck (at speed)

Car runs well most of the time under throttle, part or full. At cruise, it can cut out, but not consistently. Really only happens consistently on the highway.

I posted earlier, and some said it was the TPS. I replaced that with a new one, and following Clark's garage instructions, I am sure that I have it adjusted properly.

I have also checked the cap and wires, which are both pretty new. They still look pretty new.

Fuel filter is also new.

Any body have any ideas? I have a DE day this next tuesday.

Best Regards,

How is the gas? Did your car sit for a while with a partially filled tank?

If so, I would suggest trying some fuel system dryer - an alcohol based fuel additive that absorbs the water in the gas tank and allows it to be burned off.

This is a low cost, easy solution and worth a try.

Yep - it sat for a looooog time. About two years. But I have put two treatments in so far. The problem seems to come and go, so that might be it. Thanks.
