heating valve

hi all just picked up a 85 na and i have a antifreeze leak i checked the shop manual but just want to be sure the leak starts from the top back part of the engine and travels down towards the starter ... it's either coming from the heat valve itself or the vacuum unit for the valve...need help before i start taking it all apart, or really just need to order the right part any help would be appreciated ...thanks

Do yourself a favor and spend some time pinpointing the exact source of the leak. Once you KNOW where its coming from the fix is usually easy. Heater valves are as low as $17. Heater hoses are $6 --$8. Cheap and easy to fix if you know what it is you need to fix.
