Porsche Crest antenna removal, body work question

Hello, could someone tell me how to remove an antenna from my 1984 944. Also, I am currently restoring this car and am removing the paint, on the rocker panels there is plastic contact paper that I am removing, not the plastic on the wheel wells, but the rockers the rockers themselves, my question is, should I replace this or just leave it off. If I should replace, where can I find it? Thanks in advance for your help!!
MIKE

To remove the antenna, all you'll need to do is unscrew the retaining nut on the outside of the fender, IIRC. Haynes will tell you the front wheel's gotta come off so you can be there when taking the nut off allows the antenna to fall into the wheel well. I can't remember what I did with mine. Then you can get to the wires, which just unplug. The rocker guards are your choice. I left mine off because I figured they'd be a PITA when paint touch-up time comes along.

Slam not quite. You need to remove the canister from inside of the fender. You then remove one nut that removes the antennae motor assembly.

I didn't replace the stone guards either. The car looks better.
