How to repair a hole in the battery box area?

Hi Guys,
I just bought a beautiful 944S2 and I noticed that there was a hole in the battery box area. I was wondering if any of you have had similar problems and had to repair it?

Thanks in advance.
-Justin

Hey Justin,
Try over at www.924board.org. Do a search for Battery Tray Repair. This happens to alot of 924 and shoud be the same fix.

PS.. Sorry it took so long to reply; Darn new work computer wont let me log into PPTF

Just weld in some sheet metal. that's all you need to do. As a temp fix you can use some JB weld.

I bent some sheet metal to the right contours, and JB welded it into place. An aerosol can of undercoating looks very similar to the gunk the factory used. Add a rattle can of matching paint, and it looks like it did when it left Germany.
