I get intermittent heat, but it goes away on its own in a few miles.
Bottom line, my heater clip and metal retaining cap needed to be replaced, the metal arm http://www.clarks-garage.com/graphics/linkage-2.jpg was just hanging down. If I push the arm towards the shifter, it opens and closes the vents as it should, the other arm it rotates, rotates the full range by hand. Nice! So I hook everything up as pictured. When I move the bottom slider, I see the arm for the (footwell I assume) make noise and move the arm the full range, and back. When I slide the upper slider, I hear the relay/motor making noise (sounds okay), but it will not move the arm that connects to the metal clip/rod support. When I have it all hooked up, I cannot move them by hand (and maybe I'm not supposed to be able to). Basically, how should I troubleshoot this? Looking at it now, does that little pully looking thing over the word 'support' move up and down in that slot? Maybe it's just stuck? I hope it didn't strip any gears out of the relay/motor, it looks like it's buried pretty well. Please tell me what I can/should try! =) I mean, I cannot get it to budge while hooked up. Thank you! ![]()
