How do i get this panel out?

How do I get this panel out. It is on the right side of the passenger's foot well. I need it out to fish new speaker wires into the door.

just start tearing s#it out.

tip for reinstalling those accordions -- hook part of the lip onto the sheet metal and twist it on. be sure to pull the wire tight before closing the door though, otherwise youll have to start the whole thing over.

I just did that last week... Unfortunately you really have no choice but to tear it out because it's all glued in there, and then all that black plaster stuff on it cracks and falls off too. Fortunately the hole for the wire is only about 3 inches in, so you don't have to move much. Besides, the carpet will cover it all up when your done anyhow.

If you really want to keep it clean and factory-original or whatever, you could try sliding a long, thin blade of some sort between the inside face of the body and the insulation, then gently pry it up enough to get at the access hole. But that plaster crap is BRITTLE, so be careful.

I just fished the speaker wire over the top of the panel with a coat hanger (the bellows piece was pulled off the frame at the time) but I had the glove box out. I ran new speaker wire and a #1/0 feed along the sill to a distribution block for two 1000W amps attached to a folding rear seat delete/6.5" speaker project I was doing. As previously said, the carpet will cover most mistakes if you have to pry it loose.

got that panel out and ran the new wires. Any suggestions for the other side?

I used the special tool BFK. It came in the floorboard of the parts car I bought.
