Porsche Crest Front conrtol arm 1984-944

With a view to fitting new bush to rear of front control arm, I seek to know if it can be undertaken without removing arm.Many thanks ......First Porsche, and recent purchase.

I think it is 2 bolts holding it in. I would mark where the location of the bracket is in relation to the frame so you can install it in the same location. If you get it dead nuts on you might be able to get away from getting an alignment.

What new bushings are you going with?

That bushing has a metal sleeve in the center. Squirt plenty of penetrating oil on it a day of two before, but you may still have to beat it off. I was dreading doing this until i discovered that new Lemfoerder A-arms (w/o bushings or ball joints) are only $30 each. A cheap price to pay considering all the pressing, drilling, beating, aggravation and time saved.

I just ordered the bushings from pelian today because my right side one is totally shot. The control arm is back a half inch from it, so I have to get them changed and get it aligned. Its a good thing im friends with the local suspension guy, cause after swapping the engine, putting those control arms together by your self is pretty hard.

Any suggestions before I install them though... I know the soaking it one, anything else?
