Attention Arnworx users/owners
Being the talented and overly bright individual I am, I lost the paper that I recorded my timing belt readings on. My timing belt is not new but it's not at replacement age either. What should my tension read on the arnworx tool?
Thanks guys!

For a used cam belt you add the deflection value of +.198 to your initial reading to get the ideal setting. The acceptable range is +/- .009
For a new cam belt you add a deflection value of .173 and the range is +/- .007 Hope this helps

I must be confused, so do I not need to know what the tension on the belt was before I took it off? All I do is record the value using the reference bar and then remove the bar, add .198 and that's the right tension?
When I press on it, how tight should the belt be?

Yes it all refers back to the reference bar - so naturally it's called a reference bar. All kidding aside just follow the procedure on Arnworx website and tension the belt as shown there. Unless your belt is less than a year old for my money, I'd replace it. Good luck
