I need a non-seized pass side hatch latching "post"
anyone have one?
My adjusting screw for the phallic member that latches the hatch down on the passenger's side is loose, but the screw is siezed: so I need the little assembly that hex-screws to the underside of the lid. :) Mark |
pretty sure you can get new stainless ones from Rennbay

You can get the rubber mounting block from the dealer. If I recall it wasn't terribly expensive; I think it cost me like $30 to replace both blocks and the pins on the early car.

Mark,
I just replace my pins. 944online carries a pin set; complete with pins and 'nuts'. My drivers pin was loose; the threads were worn. The nut wasn't much better. Using a metric allen wrench, I removed the rubber assembly from the hatch. The nut is a tee design and it comes out. Replace the nut, put the assembly back on the hatch and screw in the pin. Replaced the other side too. My hatch has never closed better. |
