'83 N/A tach wiring
I am still trying to get the tach in my '83 na working. I notice the two terminals HG and H+ do not have wiring going to them. A few questions:
1. Were these terminals originally wired? Tach was removed in the past and I see the wiring has been tampered with. 2. Schematic shows wires running between speedometer and tach...HG and H+... I assume thisis the way it should be 3. What signals do HG and H+ provide? 4. Is there a small two wire harness I am missing which would connect the speedo and the tach together? Thanks

The speedo has a hall-effect sensor that sends a vehicle speed signal to the tach via 2-pin connector to HG and H+ on the tach. The tach uses that signal in algorithms for the MPG meter and the shift light ONLY. The tach will work without anything connected to HG & H+ on the back. There should be a small circuit board attached to the back of the speedo with a short 2-pin wire harness that's supposed to plug into the tach.
