I am going to post this on the detailing forum also, but I saw a post on here a few months ago on how to get the rear wing too look better. Someone said to wipe some power steering fluid on the rubber peices. IT WORKED GREAT! My rear wing was very dull looking, almost grey? looking. I went outside and put some powre steering fluid on a rag and wiped down the bumper pads, the black outlining on the mirros, the metal around the windsheild, the metal aroung the hatch glass, and the rear wing. It gave it a glossy look and gave the rubber a lot of "pop", very black now, look real good. Also, if you ever were waxing your car and got some wax on the rubber, the powre steering fluid gets the wax off too. I highly recomend that al of you try it out, 2 thumbs up, 5 stars 10 out of 10, 110%.

careful that ATF will distroy plastic, like the lenses on the lights.

I use Mothers Back to Black and it works a treat looks new again

Thanks for the heads up with ATF on the lens. I didnt put any on the lens. I heard of back to black, but didnt see any at Pep BOys last time I stoped in, but wasn't keeping a big eye out for it, will next time though.

PS fluid is an old detailers trick that is used at used car lots usually. Makes all the rubber look brand new. It wont last long, maybe a month, but it does make it look really nice. I've been doing this for years on various cars.

All any good rubber cleaner does is loosen up the old dry rubber on the surface (UV light and ozone cause the rubber to dry and turn gray), so you can wipe it off and expose the fresh rubber. They usually also have some sort of "grease" content that adds some level of shine. So the ATF just has some chemicals in it that helps strip down the old rubber, and if it works, it works! All I'm trying to get at is, don't go out of your way to find a product to use, they all do the same basic thing. Find something that works for you and stick with it!

bad thing is, it attracts lots of dust and debris....my pops use to put it on his old truck..like a 78 ford f150, it was black but not until after the oil bath!!!

I like to use some of the griots garage stuff thats available at my workplace, seems to do the trick for most stuff.

i just spray a bunch of armour all on it and let it sit, not bothering to wipe off the excess. this usually lasts about two months. i've also had someone suggest wiping it down with olive oil, which i haven't tried.

After I apply it and let it sit for awhile to absorb in, I like to wipe it down. This takes away the greasy shine and make it flat black (which I think looks better), and it takes off the extra grease that will cause the dirt to stick. I do this every few months to get the rubber extra black, with normal washing being enough in between.
