924 Audi V8
hi, I read somewhere that an audi v8 uses the same bellhousing pattern as the early 924
can anyone confirm this? would the 924 box take the power of the audi engine? not looking to put a v8 in the 924, I've got a VW Corrado that I've been dreaming of converting to RWD.

No f'in way, I seriously doubt it.
Of course, the 924 Turbo and 944 use the same torque tube and trans... so that pretty easily works you up to a 951 or 968 trans, probably bolts up? Might very well, might not - might have a different bellhousing on the front of the TT. But I'd consider checking those out as options.

isn't the 924 trans a little smaller? if it'd work I rather use it just for the simplified packaging.

The 4-speed is slightly shorter, yes. But I don't think it'd handle the torque.
