Testing DME

I am currently restoring an 84 944. The car ran fine when I bought, but I did nothing more than start it up and let it run for a while. I currently have most of the interior removed, and I started thinking about the DME. I don't want to put everything back together and find out that the DME needs to be replaced.

Is there a way to test the DME without it being in the car? Maybe my local Porsche shop.

If the car ran before you took it apart, then your DME is most likely fine now.

If you want, send it to Ian at 944 Online and he can test it for you for free ;)

Cheers,

Keith
