three strikes and your out
Well it was fun but the fun is now over. Third Kangaroo in 12 months and I have had enough of them. No second hand good parts available so new parts prices and the wait to get them means that this car has had enough and is now gone. Typical that I have just rebuilt the transmission and torque tube and replaced the clutch not 2 months ago. Time for more practical and appropriate transport considering where I live and what the car has to put up with. It has done an admirable job I must say and been quite a bit of fun for the past coupla years.

Your in Australia, I say you should make it a MadMax/Road Warrior tribute car and just cut both front fenders off, but a big nerf bar on the front for kangaroo deflection and your good to go.

A guy on the 924Board is interested in the remains. Can you provide more details about a possible sale?

3rd in 12 months......ouch!! Must be a "roo conspiracy"!
....How about some public hunting "down under"? That is what we in Iowa are doing with all the deer to reduce the population in the cities.Dal

Bloody roos do some damage. I may be interested in the whole car or some parts if you are selling or parting it. Where abouts are you? I`m in Coffs so you can`t be too far.

Hey I like the Mad Max theme. That would be radical but I cannot afford such extremes. You guys OS have to understand that these things here are not just cheap cars worth a couple of grand, so parts are not cheap. We do not have the second hand parts availability and the bumper and spoiler new were over three grand. You gotta draw the line somewhere. The car has been taken so no parts are available I am sorry.

Cut the fenders and put a some Roo bars on the front, open the exhaust, get a bad hair cut, some chain mail and a sawn-off shot gun and head the desert

My wife's response? "That's so cool! Kangaroos!" I reminded her of the time she took out three deer at once on our Crown Vic.
I feel your pain. When my 944 swallowed the mother of all porcupines the insurance co spent over $3,000 fixing the car. In fact, that car ate four porcupines, a rabbit, a cat, many gophers and even small birds. I used to pull up in front of our guitarist's house and his cats would come to greet me, knowing dinner would be in the valance. Like deer, roos go with the territory I guess.

Sorry to hear about your car. These things are getting expensive to repair. I've just spent over $10k repairing my "cheap" Porsche. I think 944s will be extinct over here within 5 years as the cost of repairing them overtakes their value.

i suppose hitting a kangaroo down there is like hitting a deer or moose up here...
Dont get me wrong, it sucks what happened......but the image I get of hitting a kangaroo just seems comedic to me...
