Yellow/ Orage spark upon ignition.

Well, I am going through a huge pain with my car at this point! I have a few other posts out there to help solve my problem. Here is what I have got:

Car will not start, unless adding starting fluid, then turn over a few times and it will catch.

Did all the checks through clarks garage, everything seams to check good.

Fuel Pressure, upon start-up have high 30s, I mounted a gauge athe end of the rail so I can see pressure. Takes a few hours to bleed to zero.

Have new ignition system, New MSD Coil, new rotor, new cap, new wires and bosh platX2 plugs.

New battery and alternator, both good, and getting correct voltage when running.

Removed #1 plug today, ground out to the motor, and saw a yellow/ orange spark, not high white or blue. Scary thing it would start and run with an open cyl without the starting fluid.

LOST won't start with all the plugs in, but remove #1 ground out and it will start and run with an open cly?????? Somethings up here!

took starter, took apart today, cleaned and re-lubed gears and bearings, went to start after that, sounded smoother and no issues. also cleaned all connections.

Installed new ref sensor and position sensor, figured that would make a diff, nothing still the same

What would cause the secondary ignition to kick on? Is there another sensor somewhere?

I cleaned all my ground through the entire car, also added an extra ground from the starter bolt to the engine block like suggested. Is this OK, should I remove or ground to frame?

Is there another sensor somewhere?

What would cause the ignition not to get full power to turn over?

I did the checks on the injector harness like clarks said, turned the key on, have the 12V to the harness connectors.

Could the ignition switch be bad or going bad? I think I did the checks from clarks a few moths ago and found nothing wrong, but could it go in and out??

I am totaly lost on this issue, everything seams to be good, just don't have the power to start up. Like the power is going somewhere else instead of the ignition upon start up!

What is the voltage to the black wire on the coil when turning over the starter?

DO NOT hook anything to the green wire on the coil

Hook a voltmeter positive lead to the black wire terminal on the coil, it's labeled 15 on the bosch coil, not sure about the MSD. and ground the other terminal to the block. Also try grounding the meter to the battery ground and measure.

Also, I've never used an MSD coil by itself. Has the car had an MSD coil the whole time you have owned it?

No, I have the Old Bosch coil on the shelf, I took the MSD Coil out and hooked the bosch up to it, and had the same results. I have the MSD with the 8ohm resistor in line as well. Last time I checked the voltage it was good. I will check it tonight. What if I don't have the 12v on the black wire? What would be the next step?

Just to clarify, you have to remove the spark plug from the cyl for the engine to run? AND ground it out?

maybe your battery is bad and the voltage drops too much to power the coil when cranking against the compression of all 4 cylinders. With just 3 cyl the voltage is high enough to fire the coil just barely. What do the voltages mentioned earlier test out as?
