power steering pump mount replacement

I am finally getting around to putting in a new(to me) power steering pump mount and before I dug in I wanted to see if anyone knows if I will need to take the water pump off in the process.

This is the piece that the lower balance shaft seal (and bearing?) are in at the front of the engine.

If I do then I'll need to order a new seal.

Thanks!

As earlr85944 stated the pump can stay on.

Depending on the condition of the bearing and flange that rides on the front of the balance shaft, here are the various seals you will need:
944-105-321-00 - cam shaft mylar washer
999-701-652-40 - Balance shaft housing o-ring
999-113-281-40 - lower balance shaft seal

Usually the bearing is fine, but the flange often gets a groove in it from the front seal. If there is a groove on it you will also want:

928-105-139-02 - balance shaft flange

Hope it helps!!

Thanks a lot guys. Just finished the job and put new front engine seals, new lower balance shaft bearing and power steering mount piece.

Probably the best part was fixing the lower balance shaft sprocket which was installed on the wrong keyway. I had suspected it for a while and I was happy when I was right, but now that I've driven it I can't wipe the smile off my face.

Also put on new sway bar bushings and the drop bar stiffeners.

Thanks again.
