Porsche Crest Engine dies under acceleration

I have an '87 944 na that I have been driving for about 3 months. In the last two days, I have had 3 instances where the engine dies during acceleration. It just stops abruptly. Two of the instances were when the engine was still cold. The third was not. The only recent change was to replace the coil. Any thoughts on diagnosis are appreciated.

The DME (fuel pump relay) relay controls the fuel pump and the computer. I would begin by changing the relay first as this is a common problem. If the problem contintinues, in the back of the engine bay, clean the reference sensor cable plugs. The wires crack and the plastic may have broken.

Thanks. I have ordered a relay and will check the sensor cable plugs, as well.
