What's it worth?
So I have had this car for about a year and I really enjoy driving it and love the car, but I am wanting to move up to a turbo. The question now, is what is a car like mine worth? I know what I paid and a ball park figure of what I would like but was wondering if anyone on here could give me some idea of what they think it is worth. Here is a list of the things done to it.
The car is an 88 Celebration Edition is Zermat Silver. The paint is not very good because it is the original paint. It was converted from an auto to a manual before I bought it. There are around 137,000 on the car and the timing belt was done at 127,000. Koni sports on all 4 turbo S front control arms turbo S front sway 968 M030 adjustable rear sway 250 lb Weltmeister autocross springs Turbo torsion bars 951 head Super Chips chip Jacob's ignition throttle respone cam Flow Master muffler after market exhaust tip after market sport seats and Bride steering wheel Weltmeister harness bar with drives side harness K/N air filter 968 caster blocks 16" Boxster rims painted black 951 rear valance turbo radiator 968 antenna maybe some other stuff, but I am not sure ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the huge last pic is the most recent one I have and it shows how the paint is, the others are from when I bought the car. There is also a small dent on the front of the passenger fender right above the bumper. Thanks for any help

They were actually in the car when I bought it, but they do recline a little, but not all the way like a regular seat. They are actually pretty comfortable. They recline off a spin wheel on the side of the seat also.

I was gonna say about 4-6K as well
go on ebay and sign in and search for 944s for sale, then click on completed listings and you can see what they have actually sold for and if they sold and how many bids, etc. gives you an idea of the Market value of the car |

You might post this over on the PP MarketPlace forum: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-marketplace-discussion/ A 951 head may indicate the head and engine needed more than just a HG. The conversion from auto to man before you got it should mean the clutch is OK--. The paint and the small dent you mentioned will lower your price. The list of MODS is impressive. I am sure that you and the prior owner were gentle and only drove to church on the weekends. The mileage is high for a car that was tuned for performance driving. You should get about $5K to $6K IF a PPI and CarFax are clean in todays economy if you wait for a while. GL John_AZ 1988 924S 58.6K + 1987 924S 112K DD |
