turbo rear arm comversion
I'm about to put turbo 86 rear arms on my early 85 car. Will I need to change out the spring plates also?
Thanks! |
I too am curious as to what I would need to do to convert
|
Pretty sure you will have hub offset/wheel issues unless you switch to late wheel and late hubs 23mm vs 53mm. I don't think a new hub would fit on an older trailing arm. I think there is also difference on the upper spring arm but not sure what. Maybe you could do it with spacer plates and longer hub studs.

Not quite, the 86' trailing arms (turbo & NA) are aluminum and early offset. 87+ was when the offset changed.
As far as i can tell you should be able to just bolt on the 86 trailing arm to your 85. the camber adjuster tool is the same for all years. |
