If you want just the gear, I have a 87 924S tranny with a blown R&P. If you can tell me if it's possible to get it out without the need for some elaborate hydraulic pullers or something like that, then I can pull it and see what it looks like. It's just going to sit outside indefinitely otherwise.

I just need the 5 th gear. No big deal to remove if it's out of the car, Any chance you can send me the code on the top of the tranny? Where are U located?

I'll get back to you, as I'm now thinking maybe I don't want to part it out after all. I'll let you know.

I have gears from my 968...3rd through 6th if you're interested.

Unfortunately, I don't know the compatability for the 944's.

Check on www.porschehybrids.com and ask if anybody is looking to rid themselves of their short 5th gear. It is the same as in the 951 trannys and 944S trannys. The guys on Porschehybrids want the tall NA 5th to take advantage of the slower turning V-8.
