Where to Mount Auxiliary Oil Cooler
I am installing an auxiliary oil cooler on the 944 and I am looking for some installation advise. I am using tan oil filter sandwich plate to tap the oil and need to install a 16row oil cooler. Is in fron tof the radiator the obvious spot or is there another solution?
TIA, John

With the n/a front valance your spaces are limited. I would go either right infront of the radiator (remove the a/c condenser of course) or i would remove one of the fog lights and put it behind there.

I did one on my 924s but it's setup different then the 944 mine runs all the way to the drivers side, I had to modify the front valance for air flow, the last place I would put it is infront of the rad, then your just dumping the heat into the coolant which defeats the purpose of a external oil cooler

I put it in front of the radiator. Yo ucan get these ty-wrap fasteners that are designed to stack cooler and radiators and it takes 2 minutes to secure them.

I understand why it would seem stupid to put the oil cooler infront of the radiator, but alot of guys run a 2nd gen RX7 oil cooler in that spot because its such a good fit. I think the most important thing is to have the a/c condenser removed so you get the best flow across the radiator.
