antilock warning light

hi all ,
the antilock brake warning light has appeared on my last two trips. first the brake pad sensor light is showing for bout a week now.pretty sure its just a broken wire on the brake pad sensor circuit as the sensors are not fitted the wires are just twisted together, the antilock light went off when i stopped the engine and restarted drove home no prob but today came back on and stayed on no matter what i did . anyone know where i should start to look or if the brake pad light is related . thanks

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL !!

My ABS light used to come on when i hit a bump. I had to replace the wiring harnesses that connect from the body to the wheel hub harness connector. The wires were frayed and in bad shape. The harnesses are not inexpensive, and are getting hard to come by.

The abs sensor is on the spindle. It is basically a magnet that pulses as the reluctor ring rotates with the hub. The wiring harness is combined from the strut to the body connector. The connector on the strut is where the abs and brake pad wear sensor separates.
