Help finding parts
 

i'm new at the whole porsche thing, recently bought a 1979 924, i've looked all through this site and couldn't find the heater cable, or the door latch mechanism, does anybody know anywhere i could order those from, or just more parts in general?

I'm not sure about the interchangability with a 79 924 (and an early 944), but 944Online may have the door handle stuff you need. http://www.944online.com/cgi-bin/ASI_Store.cgi?Product+diakey_1185544328+9441+body-9441 I'm guessing the mechanisms are the same. I'm surprised they didn't have that here (I couldn't find it either).

For the heater cable (and probably the door stuff as well) George Beuselinck at 944Ecology would probably be able to help you. He recycles 944's (and here again, hopefully the heater cable from an early 944 would fit).
