Who's chip?
Just opened up a DME that I purchased from a fellow Pelicanite and looks like it's got an aftermarket chip. Can anyone here ID the programmer? Silver label and red chip.
Thanks. ![]()

Sometimes you can read the chip with a programmer, and find text in the .hex file that shows the maker.

CJ - The PO wasn't even sure if the DME had an aftermarket chip. I did just try it out in my 924S and it does seem to run much "hotter". That's just reving up in the garage though - can't wait to get the car on a auto-x course to get a real feel.
![]() Kit- Don't really have a programmer. I thought someone here maybe had used one like it.
