Wiper troubleshooting help
 

My windshield wiper is not working properly and I am hoping the pros here could point me in the proper direction.

Off acts like off, no wiper.

First position acts like off, no wiper, should be slow right?

Second postion acts like slow, should be fast?

Oh, and it doesn't return to the down position by itself.

So should I look at replacing the switch or the relay first? Sounds more like the switch to me, but I don't want to pull the steering wheel for nothing.

the bottom position is intermittent and the next one up is off, then slow etc. Sounds like your contacts in the motor are messed up. That's what returns the wipers to the parked position after you turn the switch to the off position. This would also affect the operation of the intermittent feature.
