Maybe Alternator? 944 Automatic died after making donuts in my parking lot
Hi All,
My car died after I did some donuts. It completely died with no lights no power no crank no ignition NOTHING!!! Before the car died, I crank the engine while its being running. So I guess it's the alternator bad. Does anyone has idea about it? I check the battery dead too.

Someone help, I wound never do this, BTW, 944 is not good for donuts since it turns the corner really SHARP.

I sometimes find that when its that catastrophic, that it's a battery cable issue. Make sure they are in good shape and w/o corrosion.

First, check your fuses. Are you getting power to anything?
Do you know how to use a multimeter? Start by checking the voltage at the battery with the car turned off. It should be around 11.5 - 12.5 volts. Turn the car to the accessory position, note the voltage. (It should not drop significantly.) Do not try to start the car with the multimeter hooked up. Disconnect it, and try to start the car. Reconnect and check the voltage. If the car is running the voltage should be around 13 volts. Check your main ground. There is one from the negative side of the battery to the battery tray wall. There is also one that will go the the bell housing over the clutch/torque converter. Check the cables on the back of the alternator.
