944 S2 Cabriolet problem

Hi:

I just purchased a 1990 S2 cabriolet. The car is in very good condition. I have put about 400 miles on it. And it has been almost trouble free. I have had the top down and back up without any problems until today. This is what I could use some help with. Today I tried to put the top down and it did not move. Yes I unlocked the top first! I put the key in and turned it to position 1, I pushed down on the switch. My windows went down but the top did not move. I checked the fuse and it looked ok. Is there a way to check the relay? Are there any other electrical things I should look at?

I appreciate any words of advice.
