Angry 944 Cabriolet top leak

Ok. So it got worse.

I did a little digging and it seems that water is leaking through the top material. There is a technical service bulliten (#69002) on alldata.com.... ugh.

Does anyone here have a cabriolet that has dealt with this problem?

Check two things here.. See if the actual roof drain is plugged and see if the hose hooked up to the drain is still hooked up or has it pulled off.

Garage
I just bought a 1990 944 cabriolet, and the water fills up in the passenger rear carpet almost instantly when it rains. Is there a drain plug that is plugged or has a hose come off? Does anybody know where it is located so I can fix the problem. Top doesn't leak. Thanks for help in advance.

Hey Ian,

I'll take a guess here. Open up your trunk. On both sides, under the hinges there are drainage holes that drain down into the wheel wells. Mine were clogged but I don't have rain so I don't know if this would cause what you are facing. Use weed wacker wire or similar (I used flexible small copper wire) and gently probe the drains. You could also just try pouring a little water here and see if it drains. Let us know what you find.

Good luck and congrats on the Cab!!!
