Phone Dial ?

I know this has been answered before. Looking at some wheels off and 87. Guy claims they are 15x7 and 15x8? Doesnt sound right. Also would that offset work on my car?

15x7 and 15x8 can be correct.

Look on the back side of the rims - all of the facts should be there, rim size, rim width (usually stated in J's, ex. 7j 15 would be a 15" rim at 7" width) and offset is there also.

The 87 has the late offset rims - your 1986 944N/A is the early offset - to use these rims you will probably have to have 1" spacers

Early offset is 23mm - late offset is 52mm

I know I can look at the back. I just was wondering if what he was telling me is true... They are about 3 hrs away.

Have him tell all numbers on the backside of the rims - different numbers on the front rims and different numbers on the back rims - rim width and offset is different on front to rear. If they did fit his 87 they will be the wrong offset for you - again may have to use spacers - unless they are early offset and stuck out allot on his car.

Hmmm... The more I think about it I may pass... If I have to swap on spacers they will be too much hassle to used as track wheels...

less hassle if you get them and give me the center caps, you would not have to worry about loosing them.

If you are looking for track wheels go with the Fuchs - they they come in the 15-7's and 8's also - they are half the weight of the Phoney's and with the early offset
