Lug nuts with Boxster Wheels
I'm planning to get some Boxster or 996 twist wheels for my 944. Will I need to get new lug nuts too? Are the lug holes smaller that I need smaller nuts?
You guys are great help ![]() Rick

Wheels
Karl- I like those wheels but I was looking for a set with tires, mostly to keep the $ down. You would have been within driving distance too. I'll keep them in mind if I come across a set of tires.
Thanks, Rick

if you are using aluminum lug nuts, you need new ones if they have been on and off the car more than 25 times - they begin to lose their ability to hold full torque beyond that point - you will see evidence of it by the tiny fragments on the threads
you need steel ones if you use spacers you need steel ones if you plan to track the car you should use steel ones if you drive hard, or the wheel and/or tire widths and/or net weights increased significantly |
