22.2mm front sway bar??
has anyone ever heard of a 22.2mm front sway bar? this is what I measure the bar that's in my car at.
It is weird because as far as I know there is no documentation about a 22.2mm bar existing I know my caliper is correct because it measures a 26.8mm bar I have sitting in the storage room correctly, and it also measures things like bicycle seatposts and stems correctly.

Hi Warren,
Here is a link from Jim Pasha. Move down and you will see it was on a 1985-1991 944T. 22.5mm front sway bar. http://website.lineone.net/~dmsims/944t/SuspensionPreparation.htm GL John_AZ |

Thanks John,
I wonder if it just came from the factory with the slightly bigger bar seeing as it seems strange why someone would bother going from a 21.5mm sway to something only nominally thicker. One of those small mysteries that will never be solved I guess.

I sometimes get the feeling that Porsche rummaged through a bin selecting miscelaneous parts as they needed them.
My S had 25.5mm and 18mm sway bars. |
