Early 85 Oil Leak Location???

I sprung a leak last week and can't pin point a location... Anyone recognize where the drops are coming from? Its not too bad of a leak, maybe 5+ drops each time I'm parked after a decent drive. Please forgive the crappy cell pics

Thanks,

Looks like more than one leak. I would spray it all off (power steering pump too) with some cleaner. Then deduce where it is coming from.

I had a drip in a similar spot. Mine was the camshaft cover plugs....the allen ones you see as soon as you open up the hood. I would make sure those are torqued up, but not too tight as you can crack them off like my PO did....

From most likely to least likely, and in any combination:

1. Lower balance shaft front bearing flange o-ring and/or shaft seal. Just replace both, as well as the ones on the upper shaft.

2. Front camshaft bearing housing o-ring, shaft seal, and/or little rubber grommet that seals the housing to an oil passageway on the cam tower.

3. Cam tower gasket.

4. oil cooler housing gasket and/or the crush rings for the OPRV and oil pressure sender. There are the main oil passageways built into the cooler housing that are sealed to the block by the round seals built into the front edge of the one piece main oil cooler housing gasket. Mine was leaking only oil here externally when I replaced mine. The rest of the cooler o-rings surprisingly had not leaked oil into the coolant as is the more common problem in this area.

5. Cam tower plugs mentioned above, but this should be pretty obvious, and the oil may not run down that way.

6. Oil pan gasket.

7. Balance shaft housing.

I have had that same mess in the same place with #'s 1 and 4. All the others are perfectly capable of making the same mess depending on how they are leaking and where else there is oil.

You guessed it, My power steering is bleeding out of a couple spots as well. I'll be sure to scrub her underbelly this weekend to get a better look.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the insight everyone! I'll be neck deep searching for all of your suggested possibilities this weekend. I might be posting a couple more pics for some verification once I narrow it down too if you don't mind.

Have a good Pre-St. Patty's weekend!...I hope I don't get my guinness mixed up with my Oil catch
