944 Intake Help!
So both my cousin and I just purchase 944's. his came with an aftermarket intake. When he starts his car, the car automatically rev's to about 1500 and drops back to idle repeatedly for about a minute or so. I was wondering if you guys knew why it did this. Also, it seems like my car is a bit stronger and it is all stock. Do you know if the aftermarket intake helps the 944 or hurts it. If it hurts it what will i need to do to have the "right" set-up? Thanks for the help guys. =D

Idle surges= http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/ts-01.htm
Aftermarket intake-Some say it does not help the air flow. Porsche design of rough inside creates turbulance for better combustion. Go through all hoses under intake and compare it to the 944 that is running OK. It may be as simple as a loose vac hose. What year 944s do you have? Welcome.
