Coolant Leak
Help:
I just had my head rebuilt and did it myself with the help of some friends (they did most of it). anyway, i now have a coolant leak (not blaming them). I found the coolant collecting in the area depicted below where the washer is. it seems to be flowing into this area from a point toward the front of the motor. It does not seem to be coming from the Heater Control Valve. Any idea where it could be escaping from. I pressurized the system and watched the coolant slowly collect in this area. Here is a pic. The coolant is seeping in the direction of the black arrow. ![]()

there's a metal tube with a base plate with a 90 deg bend on the top of the cyl head near this area. it's under the intake manifold and has a hose attached to it. your leak may be from the hose clamp or the gasket that is sandwiched between the head and the base of the pipe.
