944 Option codes
 

Hey, I was looking at the option codes for my 86 944, trying to confirm that I have a LSD tranny. Theres only 8 option codes listed, and my car is loaded. Even the obious stuff like power steering is not listed. I have all of the reciepts for my car (total over $30 000 CAD from new)

Heres the codes: C36 I38 288 404 418 425 650 946

My car has the nicest seats of any 944 Ive seen. Power seats, power mirrors, power steering, power locks, LSD as far as I can tell. and its got A/C, there probably more buy I cant think of them all.

Anyone shed some light on this?
I dont think anyone would have modified my car at all, theres only been 3 owners other than myself. All maint. had been performed at the dealership etc... untill I bought it.

you can google porsche option codes to find the web sight . its more up to date than the porsche of NA's link to get the codes . if you want to know if the car has LSD just jack the rear wheels off the ground and with the car in neutral spin one wheel if the other wheel spins the same way its an LSD TRANS . if it goes in the opposite direction than its not an LSD trans .

Your car isn't loaded. It has the standard issue stuff like power steering, power locks, power seats, etc. Almost all 944's had this stuff.
Option code 220 is for LSD.
Your codes are :
C36 - Canadian car
I38 never heard of this, might be 138?
288- headlight washers
404- sway bars
418- side moulding
425-rear wiper
650 - sunroof
946- leather-leatherette seats.
So , not any bad news, but the car is not loaded. If it had LSD, black leather interior, sport seats, Fuchs alloys, etc. THEN we could call it "loaded."

Ya sport seats are about all you have that arent standard. Well and the LSD if it really is there. Rennlist has an option decoder.

Your seats look like porsche script sport seats, they are nice seats, comfy too

Thanks, just was wondering why stuff like the sport seats didnt show up in the codes. Maybe Im used to VW's cause the standard equip. on my 944 is amazing.

I want to keep my seats even when I sell my car, they are the most confortable seats Ive ever sat in. As for the LSD maybe by bald ass 225's make it seem like it has a LSD.

Ill have to get some better interior shots and post them.
